KPMG 2020 Technology & Engineering – Cloud Transformation Graduate Programme (Nationwide)
At KPMG in the UK, you’ll be part of our global network of firms and inspiring community of talented people. We work with businesses of all shapes and sizes to help them solve some of their most complex challenges and achieve success now, and in the future. Wherever you join us, across Audit, Tax & Pensions, Consulting, Deal Advisory, Technology & Engineering or KPMG Business Services, you’ll discover a career path full of rewards.
Technology & Engineering – Cloud Transformation Graduate Programme
On this 3-year programme, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the big three public Cloud providers to deliver cutting edge solutions to our global clients. You’ll develop practical technical skills and help deliver successful software projects in the public Cloud.
You’ll start in our Frontline team where you will learn how to respond to incidents, handle client requests and develop your knowledge of modern infrastructure tools, like Packer and Terraform. Once you are familiar with operating in the Cloud, you will join one of our service teams to apply what you have learnt. You could find yourself designing, building, and managing cloud infrastructure for both internal and external clients, or working to run shared services, like Jira. You could create automated tools to highlight potential security issues across our cloud estate or work closely with our external clients to help them define cloud transformation strategies.
You’ll be supported to achieve industry recognised certifications from AWS, Microsoft and Google and you’ll have access to learning platforms like PluralSight and A Cloud Guru.
The exact shape of your training will flex according to the type of work you’re engaged in, but will involve learning about market-leading technologies and industries, as well as delivery and consulting approaches.
With access to numerous KPMG networks and clubs you’ll have the opportunity to expand your social and professional networks, too.
We offer a competitive salary and a host of great benefits, including 25 days holiday, a daily lunch allowance, study leave and a day off on your birthday. With up to six days of work time for volunteering – on top of your annual leave - you’ll be encouraged to make a difference beyond the office, too.
You’ll need to have, on be on course to achieve, a minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline. While we do not require a formal technical background, you’ll need to have a keen interest in technology, a ‘team-first’ mind-set and a desire for early responsibility. We’ll look at more than just your academic results and will also consider your strengths, values and motivations. See the ‘How to Apply’ section our website for further guidance.
