About Finance at Just Eat
Just Eat’s finance function interacts, supports and challenges all areas of the business, from issuing invoices to our restaurant partners, managing budgets to promote efficiencies, right through to reporting on the performance of our business to investors.


The finance function play a critical role in the ongoing success and growth of Just Eat and in order to keep up with this high growth, the Finance department is looking for commercial, highly numerical and passionate Graduates to join their fast paced team.


We have no place for bean counters. Being part of the Just Eat Finance team means that you’ll be operating in a high growth environment. This will expose you to new and exciting challenges every day of the week, with no month ever being the same as the last.


You’ll get fantastic exposure to commercial opportunities such as mergers and acquisitions, business partnering operational teams, preparing reports for senior management and helping with reporting to the City.


Typical rotations on the Finance Graduate Programme might include:


Management Accounts
Managements Accounts teams are responsible for producing timely and accurate management and financial account information for internal management use and for statutory purposes respectively and ensure robust processes and controls are in place. In addition Operational Finance manages the administration of restaurant financial relationship with Just-Eat and processes and pays supplier invoices


Tax and Statutory Reporting
The tax team focus on UK tax compliance and reporting as well as international tax returns, tax audits, and ad hoc tax projects that may arise. You will learn about UK Tax law and why it’s imperative to comply with legislation.


Statutory reporting
The Group reporting team are responsible for all aspects of financial reporting including; monthly reporting to the Board; monthly management accounts; technical consolidation; accounting for acquisitions; together with maintenance of group accounting policy, plus assistance with the coordination of the annual budget and investor presentations.


Finance Business Partnering
The finance business partner plays a pivotal role in controlling spend within a given department whilst supporting teams to achieve the strategic objectives of the business. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide ad-hoc analyses and commercial support as required.


Commercial Finance
The Commercial finance team work with International finance, Directors and Country Managers to understand business and provide support and challenge on all financial matters and commercial business development. The team support business development projects and assess impact of business whilst ensuring learning across countries are shared and optimised to help business develop faster.


Required skills and experience


We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate:

• A high level of numeracy
• The ability to interpret and analyse data
• The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Strong Excel skills
• Effective oral and written communicative skills
