What we offer you

You’ll join the IT department within our global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team. ERP is all about using software to better manage business operations. We’ll give you training in any of the following ERP tracks of Oracle Fusion: Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Projects.

As well as the ERP/Oracle training, which will set you up for an expert career path, you’ll also have the advantage of personal development programmes to build up your interpersonal and leadership skills. Crucially, you’ll make a real contribution from day one through hands-on work experience projects that broaden your professional experience and knowledge of Petrofac. We’ll match you with an expert as a mentor to provide day-to-day support.

Your role

As a valued and vital member of the Data Science team, you’ll contribute to a range of activities designed to transform raw data into meaningful insights. Interactive dashboards and reports will be a major area of focus. You’ll enjoy varied responsibilities, ranging from building data models and creating complex calculations, through to importing, analysing and reporting on data.

You’ll turn knowledge of data architectures and data warehousing principles into the skills you need to help design data warehouse solutions. What’s more, you’ll take part in data investigations. And you’ll help us develop solutions to improve decision-making and project delivery at Petrofac.

What you’ll bring

We’ll expect you to have or expect a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Computer Science, Computing, Data Analytics and Data Science, and Software Engineering would all be a good fit for this role. And of course, you’ll be keen to keep learning.

You should also demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of data preparation and data transformation projects
  • Knowledge of using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau
  • Knowledge of ETL, SQL and DAX
  • Knowledge of Java, Python, and PowerShell scripting
  • A high level of numeracy
  • A real eye for detail
  • A collaborative approach to work
  • The ability to meet deadlines
