Our Human Resources Programme

•The HR Programme is 3 years in length and is likely to see you work both within a factory location and within the central HR functions to provide you with the breadth of knowledge, behaviours and skills necessary to enter into future senior HR roles. Carefully planned placements, as well as the opportunity to choose a preferred pathway in year 3 will give you a greater understanding of how HR works at Bakkavor.

•You will be exposed to all HR aspects of the business, including People Services, Systems, Resourcing, Employee Relations, L&D, Performance and Talent Management, HR Analytics, Employment Law and Reward Management.

•Your target role when you reach the end of your Programme will depend very much on the pathway that you would like to pursue, however, you should be aspiring towards a Senior HR Business Partner role within 5-7 years of starting Bakkavor.

What you’ll need

We are looking for graduates who can combine excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with a business-focused approach. The pace is fast, so you’ll need excellent organisational skills too. Having an inquisitive nature and an inbuilt desire to challenge the norms is the key to success. Here at Bakkavor innovation is what we are all about; it’s what keeps us ahead of the competition, so make sure you’re keeping up to date with the current affairs and latest food trends. You’ll also need:

oAchieved, or are expected to achieve, at least a 2:2 honours degree in any discipline

oThree months' work experience

oAn existing ‘right to work’ in the UK

oA clearly articulated motivation to progress your career in the food industry

oFlexibility to complete three rotational placements, a minimum of two moves, maximum of three (placements can be in any of our locations)

oGraduates who align to the Bakkavor Values and represent a good value fit to our organisation

If successful, we will invite you to an assessment centre in January or February 2024. These interviews are for a September 2024 start on the programme.
