For over three centuries the Lloyd’s market has been providing the complex and specialist insurance cover needed to empower human progress. Originally created to insure shipping ventures Lloyd’s has provided insurance protection for arctic explorers, aid organisations and space missions as well as current risks such as cyber and terrorism. And we do this by having the very best people.

Over our two-year HR programme, you’ll be learning exactly what it takes to attract and retain great talent. Through 24-months on a rotational basis, you’ll gain a 360° perspective of how varied and exciting working in our HR area can be.

What you’ll be doing
Working with HR Business Partners, you’ll be at the forefront of our people strategy that is helping Lloyd’s stay ahead of the game. As this programme is on a rotational basis, you’ll enjoy great variety during the 24 months you’re with us. That could mean you’re first working within Talent Development to support leadership programmes and induction programmes. And next rotation you could be getting involved with diversity projects like our market-wide ‘Dive In Festival’, promoting diversity and inclusion.

What you’ll gain from us
You’ll emerge from the programme as a confident professional. With our support, you’ll have developed your communication and relationship management skills. We’ll encourage you to complete the CIPD qualification, as well as our in-house training on matters like workplace change and recruitment. Not only will you have stretched and surprised yourself, you’ll have also made a real contribution to an organisation that’s ensuring human progress – both social and economic.

On top of these invaluable experiences, you’ll have a competitive starting salary of £27,000 with a salary increase of £1,000 every six months of the programme.

What you’ll need
To join us you’ll have a 2:2 degree or higher in HR or an alternative degree which incorporates HR studies within. We need individuals that can effectively communicate, remain open to career opportunities and always be passionate about the insurance sector.
