An opportunity is available to join the Airbus Defence & Space Human Resources Department on a 12 month Internship working in the Early Careers Team.


The Early Careers Team is responsible for managing the Apprenticeship, Graduate, Internship and Work Experience programmes. The team forms part of the People Resourcing Centre of Competence which has overall responsibility for the employment strategy and defining and implementing policies and processes in order to secure the mid and long term availability of competences and profiles to meet the strategic goals of Airbus.


Tasks & accountabilities


During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;


• Support the provision of operational support to managers and employees within the business, with a focus on a particular business entity.


• Contribute to the delivery of business objectives through supporting appropriate and timely HR interventions.


• Provide support to the Resource and Develop team to ensure the successful implementation of policies and initiatives within Airbus.


• This role will require occasional travel to our other UK sites as well as some ad-hoc travel abroad.


Required skills


Please note our internships are open to undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.


Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;


• Ability to work autonomously and use initiative.


• Motivated and driven to further their personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the role.


• Ability to balance workload, work on multiple projects at once, priorities and manage own workload.


• Excellent organisational skills, including strong attention to detail.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate effectively with a diverse client group and produce succinct correspondence.


• Ability to work well with others in a team environment


• Well-developed computer literacy skills within a Microsoft Office environment, including intermediate Excel skills with the ability to interpret data using V lookups and pivot tables
