Health, Safety and Environment Graduate

deadline - 48 hours

As a graduate at Petrofac, you’ll work with world-class experts on some of the most significant energy projects in the world. You’ll join us in our mission to design, build, manage and maintain infrastructure for diverse clients including some of the world’s leading energy companies. At every step of the way, you can look forward to friendly advice and guidance from your mentors and colleagues. Together we’ll enable clients to meet the world’s evolving energy needs.

What we offer you

You’ll receive supported training in the health, safety and environmental aspects of an energy services company, with contracts ranging from operating and decommissioning offshore oil and gas facilities, to construction of wind farms. Training is delivered in a variety of ways: within Petrofac, externally and on-the-job. You’ll also have the advantage of personal development programmes to build up your interpersonal and leadership skills.

Crucially, you’ll make a real contribution from day one through hands-on work experience projects that broaden your professional experience and knowledge of Petrofac. We’ll match you with an expert as a mentor to provide day-to-day support.

Your role

In this diverse and wide-ranging role you’ll see every aspect of our business. Working closely with operations and projects teams, you’ll support contracts with advice and action on health, safety and environment (HSE) matters. You’ll carry out site visits to monitor activities, review data and give HSE briefings to staff.

With expert guidance, you’ll learn to identify actions that will address HSE trends. And you’ll share your findings to drive practice forward across Petrofac and our clients. Following a personal development plan, you’ll grow into a fully fledged HSE Advisor.

What you’ll bring

We’ll expect you to have or expect a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Environmental Health, Law, Sociology or Psychology would all be a good fit for this role but we will consider other subjects. And of course, you’ll be keen to keep learning.

You should also demonstrate:

  • Great communication skills, in person and in writing
  • A high level of numeracy and IT skills
  • A real eye for detail
  • A collaborative approach to work
  • The ability to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel offshore and internationally

Our promise

We recruit, reward and develop our people based on merit regardless of race, nationality, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, marital status or disability. We value our people and treat everyone who works for or with Petrofac fairly and without discrimination.

In return for your contribution, you can look forward to a fantastic package including a generous starting salary of £34,000, pension, healthcare, lifestyle benefits and generous holiday entitlement.
