The Role: The Development Plan for the Development Executive

Carefully segmented, the role of the Vendor Development Executive can be outlined in clear progression stages. Initially, you will spend your time in an internal role with a highly varied schedule. During your on boarding process, you will learn about Northamber, their products/services and the marketplace they operate in. Responsible for the head of the pipeline, you will strategically identify potential clients to build a prospect database, develop rapport with key decision makers and book appointments for senior sales staff.

Based on how quickly you adapt, you can expect to manage business relationships with existing clients within 6-18 months. Once you have obtained the appropriate skills, you will adopt a more external role, independently running face to face meetings, negotiating, influencing and closing business with your clients.

At this point, you’ll possess complete autonomy, responsibility and management of your schedule and role. Excellent progression, career development and earning potential are all open to the tenacious, career driven graduate.

The Role:   

  • During your on-boarding process, learn about Northamber, their marketplace, products and services
  • Support the front end of the sales cycle, strategically identifying, contacting leads and compiling a database of prospects
  • Build initial relationships and book appointments with key decision makers
  • Once you have obtained a good grasp of the skills and industry, develop rapport with existing clients and run meetings independently
  • Negotiate and close high-level business transactions face to face as you take ownership of the entire process
