Our mission is to be the global leader in innovative high performance glass and glazing solutions, working safely and ethically.
Group Treasury, sets overall treasury policy and provides treasury services to the businesses across the Group. The Group has quite complex treasury issues which arise due to the geographic spread of our businesses, number of currencies traded, other commodity risks such as energy costs and levels of debt resulting in interest rate risks. Treasury activity and expertise for the whole Group is concentrated in two small teams in Lathom and Tokyo therefore projects are both geographically and technically diverse.
On a daily basis the department will manage the Group’s cash using pooling and cash concentration techniques and transact financial instruments in order to minimise the financial risks of the Group.
It is also the responsibility of Group Treasury to ensure that the Group has access to adequate levels of funding for existing activities and financing for new opportunities. It also advises the board and operating companies on treasury related issues.
