We are now inviting applications for our third graduate cohort at LGPS Central Limited, providing a unique opportunity to work in the investment management industry in a broad range of areas. 

Established in 2018, we are we’re a relatively young company dealing with combined assets of approximately £26 billion. For the right candidates there are plenty of opportunities to get hands on experience, use your initiative and be given responsibility from day one. We are looking to hire our next intake of talent, and there will be the opportunity to secure a permanent role at the end of the two-year scheme.

What You'll Be Doing

We are now looking for a number of Graduate Trainees to join our Company, rotating through various departments. The successful candidates will work closely with various stakeholders ranging from external Clients to internal Portfolio and Operational Managers.

Graduate Trainees will learn how to operate in both the back and middle offices as they rotate through different asset classes and strategic functions. Tasks are varied, and will include meeting with external clients, giving presentations to stakeholders, and researching global markets amongst other things.

As a Graduate Trainee you will follow a structured and comprehensive training programme which will develop your personal and technical capabilities, with an aim to secure a permanent position at the end of the Graduate Programme. Training will be undertaken during the 24-month placement, with applicants initially completing the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

Requirements

• Prepared to study for the IMC and then a relevant qualification to the role
• Demonstrate good judgement, numeracy and analytical skills
• First class interpersonal and communication skills
• High aptitude for systems/technology
• Flexibility in working across a variety of tasks and rotating across the business
• Self- starter, initiative, curiosity and team player
• Qualifications: Degree level 2.2 or above
