What we do in Telecoms/M2M
We are the UK’s largest independent tower provider and leading supplier of M2M platforms to the utility sector. Telecoms/M2M provide services to all the UK mobile Network Operators as well as Smart Metering services to some of the UK’s major Gas, Electricity and Water companies.
You will be working within a team who are responsible for the Design, Development and Delivery of such solutions as well as new and innovative Products and Services
A recent example of this is the Arqiva Smart Metering Solution for Electricity and Gas in the CSPN region (Manchester to the North of Scotland) where the Telecom team developed a Flexnet Network solution utilising the Arqiva portfolio of towers that will ultimately deliver a Smart Metering service to over 10 million households.

responsible for providing consultancy, design and costing services to both internal and
Working in collaboration with other Arqiva teams and external suppliers you will use your technical knowledge and excellent communication skills to help develop innovative and cost effective solutions in response to tenders and other business development opportunities.
It’s about understanding how to design a network, how to connect that network back to a central point, how to monitor the network, how to collect data and how to deliver that information back to the customer in a format that can be understood.
Don’t worry though, you won’t be on your own; you will be guided and supported throughout by a range of specialists covering areas such as Radio Planning, Network design, Data Management Systems, Service and Operations as well as other internal teams such as legal, finance, procurement and commercial.
What we look for in you
Either a 2:1 in your degree or a minimum of 280 UCAS points
Communication skills – it’s a big part of the job, both with internal and external
Excel skills, presentation skills, report writing skills
