The company
Our client, an events company specialising in conferences in a range of industries, is looking for a Graduate Sales Development executive to join the team on their graduate scheme program. The company likes to promote from within, after the first 12 months in delegate sales you can progress into other areas of the business, i.e. conference production, sponsorship sales, marketing, etc. However, this role is a sales role therefore you do need to have a keen interest in a sales career. With a strong commission structure, company benefits including gym membership discounts, fruit deliveries, season ticket and relocation loans for moving into London - this opportunity is not one to miss!

The role

  • On this graduate sales development scheme, your role will be initially within the existing sales team and you will have the opportunity to shadow and learn the business from the ground up
  • Your role will then be to sell delegate packages to the conferences and events across the industries the client works with, earning commission with every single sale you make!
  • You will be expected to advise customers on the range and suitability of the events ran in order to help their business
  • Working in a target driven environment, roles are awarded based on merit and performance through the sales team
  • There is opportunity to progress into a consultative business development role, purely focusing on high level exhibitions or progression into a conference production role creating the high-end events - to gain a wide range of amazing transferable skills!

About you

  • Degree educated to a 2:1 or above
  • Previous sales experience is not essential, but would help you into your new role
  • Motivation to progress is a must, with a hard-working attitude
  • Excellent phone manner, communication skills and written skills
  • Money-motivation and strong drive for results and meeting targets
  • Resilient, professional, entrepreneurial and most importantly organised
