Role: Graduate Resource Planner

Mechatherm International is a world leading company of industrial engineering experts specialising in the design, supply and commissioning of furnaces and casthouse equipment for the global aluminium industry. The role is primarily a technical management role, to implement a primavera based project management system to manage company resources and improve their utilisation.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
You should hold a Batchelor’s degree in a relevant discipline within Engineering, Operations/ Management or Logistics.
We’re looking for a confident self-starter to take a lead on this project to establish a resource driven programme for all Mechatherm’s engineering activities. You should have a keen eye for detail and problem solving skills.
Ideally with previous commercial experience, you will need to operate efficiently and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including building relationships with customers to understand their needs. You will need to be able to demonstrate tact and diplomacy, being mindful of the change in company culture which this project will facilitate. Use of various software programmes e.g. MS Office, MS Project and Primavera
The successful candidate will have a range of career options with the company on successful completion of the project. This is an ideal role for someone looking to develop their knowledge and experience as well as play a healthy part in contributing to Mechatherms’s continuing success.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Using Primavera software to produce and maintain a resource driven programme for all Mechatherm’s engineering activities.
• Train Mechatherm’s Project Managers in the use of the programme.
• Liaising with key staff across all departments to gather data and improve internal communications and planning.
• Understand and reproduce resource driven contract programmes
• Process mapping
You will be based at the company in Kingswinford with support from the management team and academic mentors from Aston University Business School
