Qa Research is an agency which has provided specialist social and market research services to the public and private sector since 1989. Based in spacious offices in York City Centre, Qa employs 27 permanent staff in addition to a pool of around 80 staff working in our outbound Contact Centre.

The Vacancy:


After undertaking a comprehensive training programme, the successful candidate’s day to day work will include all stages of the research process from the development of appropriate methodology to report writing.

 

We’re looking for someone who has a genuine interest in quantitative research and who gets a buzz from dealing with numbers, as the role involves dealing with complex data sets and producing reports. The successful candidate will be involved in all other stages of the research process, from the initial client enquiry right through to the production of the report. 

 

The role covers the full range of research activities to help deliver a diverse range of research and consultation projects for a wide range of clients throughout the country. It is expected that the successful candidate will work on projects covering the full range of sectors we work in.

 

From time to time, the successful candidate will also be involved in delivering qualitative research and in supporting our qualitative experts to delivery depth interviews and focus groups.

 

Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent and be seeking a career in research.

 

Candidates will need to be highly numerate and literate with outstanding attention to detail. They must demonstrate an aptitude for report writing, critical analysis and problem solving, together with commensurate IT, organisational and presentational skills. The role will suit an individual who is comfortable interpreting and drawing conclusions from numerical data. In addition, they need to be enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated with the ability to work on their own initiative as well as within a team.

 

The ability to learn quickly will be advantageous. A full driving licence is essential.
