We are a specialist search firm focused on Financial Services, working with some of the world's leading financial organisations, particularly in Asset Management and Capital Markets, just a stone's throw away from St Paul's Cathedral.
An established firm, founded in 1989, independent and owner-managed. We pride ourselves on our specialist market knowledge, our strategic insight on human capital in financial services, as well as the fast and efficient delivery of our search services. We have a unique culture and operating model to serve our clients; to this end we like to train and develop our own people. Our three drivers to success are: be knowledgeable, be long term and serve the industry.
We are a search firm, not a recruitment business; executive search is a strategic, consultancy-focused people business, and every client and candidate is important to us. This role is a research-based, not a sales-based, position.
Culturally, we are very different to most search firms. Though we are a highly-specialised and profitable business, and have a professional working environment to match, we pride ourselves on being different to most. Our company is a fun, diverse and interesting place to work. We have experienced unprecedented success in recent months and, as such, need to grow our vital research team. Opportunity for growth early on in your career is huge, as you will ultimately become the next generation of revenue producing, specialised Consultant within the firm.
We are looking for an entry level Research Analyst who will be fully integrated in the search process. We need ambitious, inquisitive graduates happy with a steep learning curve. This is a research-based position, and we need you to be able to work to tight deadlines, as well as have excellent attention to detail.
Capable of running complex market research projects, sourcing candidates and potential business leads, you must also be confident in coaching and integrating new team members.
We need individuals with more depth than those just with a history of academic success and an impressive level of intelligence. Fluency in a 2nd European language is viewed as a plus as we work with international markets. We look for people who are:
Bright - the work we do is highly complex, only the brightest graduates will be able to cope, intellectually.
Educated - a top degree from a reputable university is indicative (but not proof!) of hard work and intelligence, so we look for graduates with a degree from a Russell Group university, with a 2.1 or above in an academic subject.
Mature - you will be dealing with executives of large organisations and so it is essential to have the maturity to liaise with them in the proper way; we've been working with some of our clients for over 25 years; it's very important to maintain these relationships.
Hard working - intelligence and personality mean nothing if you're not willing to put in the time and effort and work to tight deadlines as well as multitask.
Attentive to detail - we require you to be a fast learner and therefore to get on with things on your own, so attention to detail is imperative.
We want people to work hard for us because they want to be here, so alongside our working ethic comes a fair package to make a career with us viable - this is why we offer a market-leading £30,000 basic salary, plus bonuses. Though attractive, that is the first step on the ladder and your earnings will increase steeply as you progress.
