In this role, you will be a member of a highly reputable Quantity Surveying team. The QS team delivers solutions to clients in the areas of Conceptual Estimating, Budget Development, Cost Planning, Feasibility Studies, Value Management, Economic Forecasting, BOQ Preparation, Cost Reporting, Final Accounting, Tax Analysis, Life Cycle Costing, and more.

Role & Responsibilities

An Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be expected to work alongside and report to senior Surveyors in the delivery of Projects, with responsibility for and contribution to the following:

·        Preparation of Cost Plans, utilising in-house and published data

·        Tender preparation, including measurement and item descriptions forming Bills of Quantities

·        Preparation of contract documentation

·        Post-contract cost control, including on-site measurement and pricing of variations

Preparation and analysis of final accounts


Qualification and Education

Candidates should hold GCSE Mathematics and English at grades A-C and a higher-education qualification in Quantity Surveying. Candidates with a related qualification and appropriate work experience will be considered. The successful Candidate will be enrolled on the RICS’ Assessment of Professional Competence with support and training offered as part of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor position.


Preferred Skills

Candidates would ideally demonstrate a degree of familiarity with current measurement rules (NRM) and the JCT suite of contracts. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Excel in particular, is essential.
