The Strategic Road Network (SRN) is arguably the biggest and single most important piece of infrastructure in the country. It is at the core of our national transport system. England’s strategic road network consists of more than 4,300 miles of motorway and major A roads including a highly complex asset base of more than 16,000 structures 21,870 miles of pavement and 110,000 technology assets.

Through a series of internal 9 -12 month placements (across a 3 year period) we are able to offer our graduates variety, stimulation, challenge and early responsibility. We are also committed to the development of our graduates.
Your placements will give you opportunities to develop the skills you need to become a member of the Association for Project Management. Working with senior colleagues to plan your own placements, you can direct the learning you need. With opportunities for placements across our business, you will be an ambassador for Highways England Project Management.
With support from senior colleagues, you will enjoy the chance to plan and manage your own training. Your professional training will involve release from your day to day responsibilities for study. Ultimately, you will acquire all the knowledge necessary to become a member of the Association for Project Management.
•Salary of £ 24,000.00.
•3 years of training leading to APMQ status (project managers don’t achieve Chartered Engineer Status.
•On-the-job training with a chance to experience many different aspects of project management through placement rotation.

Minimum Entry Requirements
Together with some experience of project management, gained during your
education, we ask that you hold the following:
•2:2 degree or above in any subject.
•300 + UCAS points at A Level (or equivalents) from your top three grades.
•GCSE English & Maths.
