Unique Career Opportunity at MHI Vestas

This is your chance to take on a unique opportunity to kick-start your career in the offshore wind industry, contribute to a greener future and learn from the best.

As a first-generation candidate in our newly established two-year Graduate Programme, you will join an international, fast-growing company focusing on sustainability and green energy solutions. You will be a pioneer with the opportunity to shape the programme of tomorrow while gaining a broad value chain understanding in a global organisation.

Spend Two Years Making a Difference

For the very first time, we offer the opportunity to join our brand-new Graduate Programme where you will spend 8 months in three different areas. In each of the 8-months periods, you will be assigned to one or more projects/assignments designed to develop your personal competencies and professional profile.

The Programme is divided into two main tracks, business and engineering. When applying, you will be asked to choose your preferred track depending on your main interest. All areas have aspects of both tracks.

Just like MHI Vestas, the Graduate Programme has a strong global focus, and the rotation setup is designed to give you broad value chain insight and experience our organisation from different business perspectives.

The four areas:

Technology is the area where the future of sustainable energy solutions come to life. It's also the area where we bring new ideas and improvements to existing technologies.

Global Supply Chain’s aim is to ensure a thorough understanding of the production environment and associated areas. Positions within functions such as Procurement & Category Management, Supply Chain Engineering and Manufacturing & Material Management will guarantee many interesting learning opportunities during the two-year Programme.

Operations is responsible for project management, construction and service of our offshore wind turbines. It’s an area covering both commercial and technical disciplines.

Commercial is designed to cater to exposure within our global and regional commercial or business functions. They are mainly found within our Sales, Service Sales, Strategy and Business Development areas. Commercial also has technical expertise embedded in the area.

Learn, Grow and Contribute

To succeed in the Graduate role, it is important that you have a high drive and the ability to navigate outside of your comfort zone. You must be ready to take on a role with a steep learning curve and the opportunity to co-develop your own position. We are looking for globally mobile Graduates with strong networking skills and the ability to build valuable relationships across the organisation.

We expect that you:

  • Are an innovative team player with a high drive and the courage to speak up and contribute with your own ideas and thoughts
  • Hold a relevant master’s degree
  • Are newly educated or have maximum 2 years of work experience
  • Have superior English and communication skills
  • Have a valid work permit and residence in Denmark or the UK
  • Are willing to relocate to other locations for one rotation of 8 months

Join a Leading Player in the Offshore Industry

Established in April 2014, MHI Vestas is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (Vestas). We are a young company with a long and proud history and a strong pioneering spirit.

Our parent companies are two of the global leaders in wind and energy, inspiring and leading us forward. On that foundation, we co-develop offshore wind as a financially viable and sustainable energy source to benefit future generations. We are guided daily by our founding principles of collaboration, commitment, technology and trust.

We have played a significant role in changing the landscape of the world’s energy mix, and the operational and technological breakthroughs we’ve achieved thus far have set the stage for a prosperous future.

We are an international organisation with more than 3000 employees, in offices across Europe, the Asia Pacific region and in the United States. No matter where in the world we sit and what our tasks are, one thing is certain; we all believe in wind.
