This is a tech start-up, currently consisting of 12 people, building a service that allows people to access professionals in various business verticals on demand.

The company is strongly funded by angel and venture capital and the team has a strong track history in technology. The CEO is highly reputed in the industry and his previous company was successfully acquired.

This is a 3month paid internship offering £18K pro rata, followed by a permanent position all being well.

How you can expect to spend your day;

The business connects customers with professionals within an instant over an online platform. Your job will be building out a roster of professionals/merchants for the new marketplace.

Merchants will be from various sectors (lawyers, doctors, yoga instructors, chefs, party planners etc etc)

You'll work closely with your manager to research, source, recruit, manage and train merchants in how the service works and to ensure engagement with the application.

The role will involve researching various business verticals, outreach to merchants, processing applications and interviewing them to assess suitability for the service. You'll also help manage them in terms of customer support and payments.

Liaise with the business and development teams when necessary to communicate and prioritise bugs, issues and feature requests

You'll ideally have experience in customer- or client-facing communications, technology start-ups, or marketing and sales. However, aptitude is more important than experience.

Articulate with strong verbal and written communications

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to work independently, diligently and efficiently

Previous experience in start-ups or technology is desirable but not essential

Previous experience in marketing, sales, communications or business development is desirable but not essential
