The Company


A boutique style specialist provider of news, analysis & events on the global financial markets are looking to recruit a talented aspiring Journalist who has an interest in the financial industry and enjoys networking and breaking news. The Role

The role involves building strong relationships across regions with market participants to find out about any new deals, producing detailed analysis on the thinking behind these deals and broader market commentary. You will also be involved in the planning, production and delivery of international showcase and awards events.

Although this role involves working on a niche area of the capital markets you will gain the kind of detailed insight into how the financial markets work to enable you to produce insightful commentary on the broader economy.


Duties & Accountabilities


  • Conducting in-depth qualitative research on specific financial topics and market trends to gain market insight and translating these into commercially viable content that will be relevant to stakeholders in the financial industry
  • Relationship management - engaging and managing relationships with key market players to create long term win-win partnerships and opportunities
  • Productivity management - ensuring that the articles and breaking stories are delivered through effective timing whilst meeting quality and profitability objectives
  • Team working - Working as part of a team sharing knowledge and contacts to provide the best service possible for the clients



The ideal candidate


  • Interest in financial markets and a research-based degree (Ideally Journalism, Finance, Philosophy, Politics or Economics) will mean you will be able to conduct detailed research& confidently talk about the subject matter
  • A solid commercial awareness, capacity to switch between creative and analytical thinking will allow you connect ideas, be flexible and curious in your thinking
  • Excellent written and oral communication to ensure all content is written and produced to the highest standard
  • Strong relationship building skills will mean you're able to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Intuitive problem solving; logically anticipating and mitigating risk to ensure processes run as smoothly as possible
