A superb opportunity has arisen to join our Business Support Team in the role of 1st Line Desktop Support Engineer. 

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, patience, and a willingness to learn. You will be the in-house office-based Desktop Support Engineer for our UK offices and you are willing to travel within the UK.

You will also be a point of contact of our Asia offices

The ideal candidate will have an opportunity to be part of a growing team of professionals and will be involved in a wide variety of IT Support tasks, including but not limited to: 

·        Take charge of the onboarding process to ensure a smooth start date

·        Install, configure and replace desktops, laptops and docking stations

·        Assist with office expansion and desk moves

·        Respond to and manage incoming support tickets, emails, and phone calls in a timely manner

·        Log IT issues to the external IT service provider and follow-up

·        Follow up the status of user issues and communicate progress in a timely manner

·        Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including hardware, printer issues, and network connectivity issues

·        Maintain IT assets & inventories and track changes

·        Write and update user guides and document changes

·        Be involved in various internal IT projects

·        Oversee the internal phone system

·        Support management with, renewals, purchases and logging and maintaining PC warranties

·        Work with and follow the guidance of the IT Manager

·        Maintain of audio and visual equipment

·        Keeping the IT Manager informed of trends, significant problems, and unexpected delays

What are we looking for?

·        At least 1 years experience in a similar support engineer role (desirable but not essential)

·        Strong IT skills, setting up computers, assisting with telephone systems and printers. 

·        A drive to deliver in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and managing own workload 

·        An adaptable and flexible attitude, excited to learn new skills and able to recognise areas for improvement 

·        Strong multitasking and prioritization ability

·        Experienced in using, logging and documenting technical issues in a ticket managing system

·        Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite

·        Interested in technology and hungry to learn and develop new skills.

·        Excellent attention to detail and a high level of organisational skills
