The role of our Graduate ICT Software Developer is to design, code, test, and analyse software programs and applications, and interfaces between them. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the production lifecycle. Our Graduate ICT Software Developer will also analyse and amend software errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports where required.
You’ll conduct research on emerging application development software products and standards in support of procurement and recommend, schedule and perform software development, including improvements and upgrades.
You’ll consistently write, translate and code software programs and applications according to specifications, monitor performance, administer solutions and produce reports for management and team members. You’ll liaise with network administrators, systems analysts and software engineers to also assist in resolving any issues.
As our new Graduate ICT Software developer, you’ll be have a degree in a relevant discipline and preferably have some work experience – either in the workplace or within studies and in project work in software and application development. You’ll be a team player and have high levels of motivation yet resilient and able to adapt to changing situations and priorities. You’ll be able to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively whilst also building relationships across the business at all levels where necessary.
The role will be based in either Exeter or Taunton with some travel required as necessary. Therefore a full driving license is essential.
