Join us as a Graduate Fluid Mechanics Engineer, working in our Fluid Mechanics team to provide technical consultancy for problems related to fluid flow and heat transfer including conventional oil and gas and energy transition. All whilst earning a salary of £35,000 and the support of your mentor, manager and our development programme.

As a Graduate Fluid Mechanics Engineer, you could be responsible for safety assessments for gas dispersion, fire modelling, explosion analysis and gas detection, hydrodynamic assessments and heat transfer and flow assurance. You’ll be executing tasks within the requirements of the project execution plan whilst functioning as part of a team of engineers, and providing assistance under close supervision.

Your responsibilities could include:

•Executing work in compliance with client specification, Kent’s ISO accredited QMS, and project specific procedures, guides and standards

•Carrying out advance Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling for clients and industries, including oil & gas, offshore wind, and infrastructure

•Providing consequence modelling and risk assessments with support from technical experts

•Providing input to preparation of deliverables and supporting decision making by other engineers

Who you are 

A passionate problem solver with great attention to detail. We revolve around team working, so you will need to be comfortable working collaboratively and alone. You should be a recent graduate with a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant disciplines.
