This is a 12 month graduate position based in Uxbridge paying £18k and designed to lead to a permanent job.
How you can expect to spend your day;
The role will be varied and tasks you will learn about include the following.
Supporting the Financial Analyst to track/monitor and control Advertising and Promotional and Joint Marketing Activity Spend - Hierarchy Maintenance / Money Movements / Internal Order Creation/ Running and Completing Trackers.
Assisting with ensuring FP team is SOX Compliant.
Assisting with the management of petty cash from banking to ensuring all money is correctly accounted for.
Assisting with Invoice Coding - both 3rd Party and Intercompany.
Assisting with Accounts Payable Team Queries.
Ensuring Local Vendors are set up correctly and monitor the Preferred Supplier List and deal with any queries arising from this.
Purchase Order Maintenance - ensure regular reviews with local markets and adjusting/closing of Open POs.
Supporting FP Team to deliver a reduction in Unauthorised Spend.
Ensuring all local forms are updated regularly and take control for ensuring the Workflow is correctly maintained.
Providing support to the Financial Analyst at Month End - to ensure reporting is delivered on time.
Providing support to the Financial Analyst at Forecast/Budget Submission - to ensure forecast/budget is delivered on time.
Supporting the FP Team by updating Overhead schedules with Actuals and updating the Forecast for uploading to SAP.
Supporting the Financial Analyst by being a backup for delivering Week Sales & Shipment Reports.
The ideal intern's personality and qualifications;
A recent graduate, ideally with a degree in Business, Finance & Accounting, or related.
Confident in collating and analysing data and has a keen eye for detail.
Proactive, adaptable, and an 'ideas generator'.
A clear and concise written and verbal communicator.
Highly organised with a 'can do' attitude.
Excellent time management skills.
Comfortable collaborating and working as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Able to commute to Uxbridge.
