Together we grow

At MBDA, we inspire team innovation to solve some of the biggest challenges. This means you’ll learn from the brightest minds, who are always there to encourage and support you.

Our collaborative approach and culture of sharing knowledge will be key to your development. We trust each other to thrive; support one another to learn, and when you join us, you’ll bring a different perspective to how we see the future.

Systems Engineers work on our products at any point in their lifecycle, helping the Military to define, develop and prove both current & future weapon systems.

Based in our Bristol, Bolton and Stevenage sites, we’re looking for graduates to conceptualise new products, investigate exciting scientific breakthroughs, and develop state of the art technology.

You’ll complete four six-month placements, working in a variety of projects at different stages. In areas from future capabilities to in-service products, you’ll experience different aspects of Systems Engineering, and we’ll help you to choose your future career based on your interests, skills and ambitions.

There’s also an opportunity to do a six-month placement in another part of the company. Alternatively, placements can be arranged with a company related to MBDA.

Through the programme, we’ll help you understand the make-up of a missile or a weapon system; from the warhead to the seeker in the missile to the wider weapon system components. Working closely with external parties, subcontractors and government customers you’ll gain experience of a wealth of systems engineering methods and tools.

You'll be supported by experienced engineers to work towards Chartership with all your fees paid by us. You’ll get access to different training opportunities, both to develop your soft skills and the technical skills. To apply, you’ll need to have a Degree in any STEM subject with a minimum of 2:2.

Shape your tomorrow

Start your career in delivering the future of defence, and we’ll support you to find your path and grow as a person.

As the only integrated defence company to provide missiles for each branch of the armed forces, you’ll work on industry leading projects that uses the most advanced technology.

Here, we give you the platform to build your skills, foster your creativity and pave your career, so that together we can shape tomorrow.
