Graduate Electronic Engineer - AceOn Group

Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience
Location: West Midlands, Telford

AceOn Group working in partnership with the Aston University


12 month Fixed Term Contract, with potential to progress to a permanent role for the right candidate.


You will be based at the company in Telford with support from the management team and an academic mentor from Aston University’s School of Engineering & Applied Science.

AceOn Group specialise in Battery, Solar and Portable Energy products. The group consists of three divisions - AceOn Battery, AceOn Solar and SolarSDS. This role will offer you the opportunity to join a young hungry business that has solidified its place as one of the top battery pack assemblers in the UK who are looking to expand into high tech areas such as the electric vehicle market.


The Role
We’re looking for an Electronic Engineer who can:


• Take a lead on all technical activities and engage with customers to design the correct solution.
• Act as a technical advisor on AceOn battery activities and understand latest battery technological advancements.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure the electronic parameters are correctly selected


Qualifications Required:
A good degree in Electronic Engineering or related area or an appropriately accredited course related to Electronic Engineering (e.g. City & Guilds) with commercial experience.


Skills required for this role;


• Solidworks and some PLC programming would be highly beneficial
• Mathematics and physics skills
• Desirable - Project management experience
• A self-starter with good problem solving skills
• Can operate efficiently and communicate effectively


This is an exciting new role where you can quickly establish yourself as a technical expert, creating technical specifications and sales kits and providing technical training to sales staff and customers.
