Tasks
Working as a part of the Earth Observation and Remote Sensing Team, main activities will include:
• Big data and machine learning techniques;
• Data fusion and quality control;
• Algorithm development and prototyping, automation of processing chains, system integration;
• Contribution to on-going operational projects, supporting the team to achieve timely deliverables and objectives.


Skills
As the successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following:
At minimum, a 2:1 degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Physics or Computer Science or related subject;
Experience of programming, e.g. Python, C++, Matlab;
Experience of analysing and processing data;
Strong analytical and communication skills;
Innovative thinking and problem solving skills;
Keen to acquire new expertise and share knowledge;
Able to work under own initiative and in a team environment.


Desirable attributes:
Remote Sensing and Earth Observation knowledge;
Experience of analysing and processing geospatial data;
Experience in Linux OS.


This role will be based in Guildford and will receive the full Airbus Defence & Space Graduate programme benefit package including an annual Salary of £27,000, plus a welcome payment of £2,000.
