Nuffield Southampton Theatres (NST) is recruiting for a Designer, responsible for creating ideas, visuals and finished artwork to promote our productions and create imaginative campaigns. NST is one of the UK’s leading producing theatre companies, led by Sam Hodges. NST develops and produces work with some of the UK’s most exciting and dynamic regional theatres. NST won Best Director at UK Theatre Awards 2014 (The Seagull), Regional Theatre of the Year at The Stage Awards 2015, Best Design at UK Theatre Awards 2015 (The Hudsucker Proxy) and the 2017 Renee Stepham UK Theatre Award for Best Presentation of Touring Theatre (Fantastic Mr Fox).


The Designer is a new role and being brought in-house to work closely with the Director and Producing and Programming Team. The Designer will be responsible for create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media including the season brochure, show images and marketing materials with the aim to inspire and attract the target audience and to enhance the NST brand.


This role sits in the Marketing and Sales team whose mission is to place audiences at the heart of everything that NST does. The team is tasked with driving ticket sales, reaching new audiences as well as diversifying them, raising the profile of the organisation locally and nationally and attracting new funders to support the company. NST has ambitious goals in the areas of audience growth, revenue income and digital innovation and this new role will play a major part in helping to realise them.


Fixed term 6 month contract


Salary : £20,000


Hours: 35 hours usually worked Monday to Friday between 8.30am – 6pm with additional hours as required as necessary
