Do you want to be based at a company whose CEO pioneered the Women in Technology movement?

Do you want access to a community of software engineering experts at the outset of your career?

… How about an office pool table and a fully-stocked beer fridge?

Read on if so- this might just be your dream role!

The Company

Our client is a highly social, innovative tech organisation that helps the developer community learn and share skills to write better software. The company organises and hosts hundreds of talks, meetups, conferences, workshops, courses and hackathons, to help members discover new technologies and practices, share ideas and learn new skills. They've recently opened a huge and specialised technology event venue, complete with lecture spaces, a funky break-out area and licensed bar. Now, they're looking for a smart, creative and highly efficient Events Executive to help run their world class events.

The Role

As Events Executive, you'll be using your creativity, research and organisational skills in a range of tasks to help create a fantastic experience for the company's attendees. You will help the team produce high quality programs by researching topics and the leading experts in the technology domain of the conference. You'll secure top speakers, and publish engaging descriptions of their speeches and bios on the company's website. You'll create marketing materials to be published in print, on social media and on the company's website, and run your own social media marketing campaigns to grow attendance and content engagement. You'll also be responsible for researching and booking cool conference venues in New York and San Francisco. You'll work with a talented and creative team of highly social innovators and collaborators, who are ready to share their skills and experience with you!

The fun stuff

You will be based at the company's funky tech community and events venue in East London, complete with table tennis tables, fussball and its own fully licensed bar. The company treats its employees with group activities like GoApe and Crazy Golf.

You

We're looking for a highly creative individual- someone who's brimming with ideas and has the organisational skills to carry them to completion, often against tight deadlines. You should be a curious person who loves researching and getting to the bottom of things, and someone who loves rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in. Finally, you should be able to assume responsibility for successfully reaching individual and team goals.
