What we do in Terrestrial Broadcast


We are vital in delivering TV and radio services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week across the UK, including Freeview and DAB radio for the nation



What you will do


Working in a Master Control Room as a shift-based Network Operator, you will be a member of a highly skilled 24/7 team, operating technical systems to enable the delivery of Freeview across the UK. The role requires quick thinking, working well under pressure, as well attention to detail, to continue the high quality of service we provide.



Types of work involved


The main focus will be to maintain and operate our services on behalf of our customers. This will include signal monitoring, fault diagnosis and resolution, and dealing with customers to ensure a positive outcome with any incidents. As well as this, you will develop your skills and knowledge to enable to launch new services and make system changes across the network.



Main Responsibilities


· Operate and maintain complex broadcast systems to deliver our customer services


· Perform fault diagnosis and resolution on system faults, and ensuring these are logged in a clear, concise, and timely manner


· Be involved in system changes and projects on the system, including the launch of new services



What we look for in you


· Have the ability to work effectively within a team as well as individually


· Either a 2:1 in your degree and/or 280 UCAS points


· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal


· This role is shift-based so flexibility due to the nature of the operation being 24/7
