The Company

My client are a global, market- leading executive search firm right next to Big Ben. They work in a wide range of sectors from Higher Education and Research, Non-Profits, Academic Medicine and Health Sciences, to Arts Culture and Sport, placing senior professionals into organisations in over 50 countries worldwide.

The company believe in the power of education to transform lives and opportunities. Committed to creative, rigorous research and compelling, nuanced advocacy, first-class candidate care are all hallmarks of my clients approach.

The Role

The Role is an Associate role within the Schools and Education Practice. The sector serves the schools and education sector globally. The Practice is intentionally broad and seeks to serve the sector as a whole, utilising knowledge, expertise and networks to add considerable value in a variety of contexts.

Their clients range from leading independent schools to high performing and aspirational academies, new and growing multi-academy trusts to international schools, global schools groups to national and international educational bodies of all types.

As an associate you will be working under a consultant with each mandate (a position you will progress into, once knowledge and a network has been built). They're looking for people with a very unique set of skills:

Analytical ability - this is a research position and so the ability to analyse and process large amounts of data are essential.

Passion for their sectors - they work with some of the most fascinating schools in the world and place brilliant people in them, who change the lives of millions. If you don't find that amazing, then you may not be right for this position.

Social intelligence - an analyst is expected to build a network of contacts that will help them further down their career, so being able to liaise with people of all different levels and, sometimes, get information out of them that you're not entitled to, is essential.

Ambition and drive - this position leads to a consultant position, so candidates who are willing to put in the work to get there are important.

Consistent achievement - they generally look at graduates from the top UK universities, with a 2:1 or above in an academic subject. A masters degree is looked at admirably.

If this sounds like the sort of role that may suit you then apply now.
