Our Technology, Data and Insight Graduate Analyst Scheme welcomes an intake of graduates twice every year. By joining us, you will have the chance to develop your skills and analyse a wide range of data relating to health and social care. Your work will provide valuable insight which will help to guide improvements in health and social care.

Our graduate scheme lasts for two years. In this time, you will gain experience by spending time with our different teams.

Let us tell you a little bit about the role....

Our teams in the Technology, Data and Insight unit have recently been reorganised so that they can best contribute and enable what CQC does. Some teams focus on acquiring the data we need, other teams use the data in developing products that colleagues can use to fulfil their needs and other team work more closely with inspection colleagues or looking at data on a larger scale to find local or national risks or trends. All of our teams though work collaboratively on projects that bring team members together.

We currently have four vacancies for people to join our Graduate Analyst Scheme in October 2022 and four vacancies for people to join in April 2023.

At the end of the graduate scheme there will potentially be an opportunity of a substantive role within the organisation.

Working within the Technology Data and Insight Unit to:

  • Deliver analytical support across a range of functions.
  • Make a genuine contribution to the work of the Care Quality Commission, through insightful analysis and effective communication.
  • Develop skills in a range of analytical techniques and through the use of different quantitative and qualitative data, information and evidence.

What we're looking for from you...

  • You will have, or be expecting, a minimum 2:2 degree or equivalent in any subject. You will also have an awareness of the role of CQC and an interest in health and social care services.
  • You will enjoy thinking analytically and problem-solving. You will be able to identify trends and patterns in data and explain why these are important.
  • You will also be good at communicating using a range of methods and styles. You will be able to work well with others and contribute to a positive working environment.
