Working in Recruitment enables you to earn life changing money within 4/5 years, often above £70,000, this only happens if you stay with one firm for a long period. The firm you choose at graduate/trainee level is key to your success. Situated 5 minutes from Liverpool St station a leading Technology/Digital recruiter are looking to add junior employees to their growing London team. The business formed in 2013 it is now a team of 17 consultants.
You will be working alongside a Senior Consultant initially assisting them in providing candidates for their clients, the role will be mainly telephone based and you’ll be speaking to many different people daily. You will try to understand their career motivations, understand more detail about the market you’re working in and overtime become an expert within your market. Typical day to day responsibilities of a recruiter are:
• Networking through social media – LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc.
• Meeting candidates/clients
• Business development
Career progression in recruitment tends to be accelerated, the reason for this it is usually decided upon billing figures, if you hit your target, you get promoted. It’s that simple, it is not unusual for consultants to build their way into management within 4/5 years. The typical career route is the following.
Associate Consultant (Researcher) OTE - £30/35k
Recruitment Consultant OTE – £40k/50k
Senior Recruitment Consultant - £50k/70k
Team Leader (Management) £70k+
Senior Team Leader 90k+
Associate Director £100k=
