We work with private, public and voluntary sector clients across the world. We apply our economic toolkit to help clients understand complex challenges. For our Analyst programme, we are looking for graduates who can build good working relationships with our clients and use their knowledge of economics to address real world problems. Our standard entry requirement is an undergraduate degree (at least a 2:1 with an economic focus) and ideally a Masters in economics. However, we do accept applications from undergraduates. You will need to be willing to study a two year part-time economics masters whilst working as an Analyst and Frontier will support you in your studies. You can apply for our Analyst programme if you hold a valid Tier 4 General student visa as Frontier is a company sponsor.
We offer our clients innovative ways to solve problems using economics as a foundation. This means we need you to be more than just a talented economist – you should also have the potential to become an excellent consultant and first-rate communicator with the industry expertise and technical skills to back up your economics. We help you build these skills and experience throughout your career. Analysts follow a structured two-year training programme which provides a range of opportunities to learn and grow. From the outset you will receive weekly training sessions alongside working on projects. You will gain a broad experience across the range of our work, and develop skills in building client relationships, understanding different markets and applying economic techniques. With small teams, the exposure to clients and our training programme, your career will develop quickly. You will be supported day to day by your fellow Analyst ‘buddy’ and you will have mentors throughout your career.
For our internships we offer short term (8-12 weeks) and long term (3-12 months) in all our offices. Our internships are designed to give you a real sense of what economic consulting is, as well as what working with us and our clients entails. During your internship you will find yourself working in project teams across a few of our practices. We aim to make your time with us as meaningful and interesting as possible.
You will receive training and have a mentor who will give advice, day-to-day guidance, along with feedback on your performance. If you apply for an Analyst position you will automatically be entered into our second round interview round. Your internship feedback will be considered alongside your interview performance. To be considered for our intern programme, you will probably be a final year undergraduate in economics or will have enrolled in (or completed) a postgraduate course in economics. However, we do also welcome applications from second year economics undergraduates (for short term internships).
We own and run our own company We work hard to maintain a collaborative and problem-solving environment which is friendly and open. We aim to provide you with the flexibility to shape your career to suit your particular needs and provide support to allow you to progress. We all take part in running the company, you could be writing the weekly staff newsletter, planning our social events, or even be responsible for developing the induction week for the Analysts the following year.
We have won many awards for being a’ great place to work’. Ultimately, Frontier reflects how we, as employees, want to work, and the balance we want between work and home.
