How will your career journey progress at Lloyds Banking Group?
During a number of placements across three years in different locations around the UK – or we have a Scotland programme that is based solely in Edinburgh – you’ll work in a variety of areas to develop your strengths. Over this time, you will make an impact through your work and through initiatives that give back to communities.
Day to day you could be:
- Reviewing business decisions across the group – from finance to
business improvement, you’ll have a say in how we work day to day
- Learning about our businesses to ensure the provision of high quality financial advice and insight to your internal stakeholders
- Undertaking core finance activities including forecasting, reporting, profitability modelling and business case development
- Using new technology, models and data to improve the quality of insight from the Finance division
- Building strong and lasting relationships with colleagues across all levels of the business
- Analysing the banking industry to understand the impact, risk and opportunity for Lloyds Banking Group
How will you become the best you can be?
People do their best work when they feel happy and valued; that’s why you’ll receive the tools you need to develop the career you want – from mentoring to delivering TED-style talks. We’ll support you to complete an industry recognised professional qualification – such as CIMA or ACA (or ICAS in Scotland) – which is a core part of the programme and will help you to build a future career in finance. You’ll also have the chance to lead on UK community volunteering initiatives.

The programme follows a similar format, but all placements are based in Edinburgh and you will study for an ICAS professional qualification.
