Starting in September 2017, we have vacancies for a number of ambitious graduates to launch their careers with us.

The Role:

Joining our Finance graduate scheme will see you undertaking a three-year programme as a Finance Analyst. This will allow you to gain real experience of:

• Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning

• Financial Analysis

• Management Information

• Expense Management

• Financial Control

• Business Partnering and Relationship Management

• Project work

The Rotation Scheme:

The scheme will involve you completing 3 "seats", rotating every 12 months at a minimum, and giving you experience of at least two areas of our business. We can offer you experience in a number of our business areas, including Retirement, Insurance, Capital Investment, Group Finance, Group Treasury and Savings.

To give you the best understanding of the company you're joining, during the scheme you could complete your rotations in any one of our main locations, so would you need to be prepared to move to meet this need. You could be based in any of our locations in central London, Kingswood in Surrey, Hove, Birmingham or Cardiff.

After joining, you'll have an induction period where you'll be introduced to your colleagues and welcomed into the organisation. Activities will include team building exercises, organisation and business area overviews and systems training. Team building sessions will be repeated at the end of each seat rotation where you'll share your experiences and learning with your colleagues as well as taking part in other skills-building training activities.

You will be allocated a Mentor who will support you throughout the scheme with your professional and personal development.

The Supported Study Scheme

During the three-year scheme you will be supported with achieving a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). This will be through a combination of self-study and block release courses. All courses, exams and memberships will be fully funded by us and you'll have study leave to prepare for and take your exams.

At Legal & General, we're committed to your development and so you'll be supported by a mentor and your colleagues around you to ensure you have the best chance of success.

We want you to take your development as seriously as we do, so you'll be expected to have completed your qualification within the three-year duration of the scheme.

Skills Required

You don't need to have a financial background, and we're open to what degree discipline you have, but we do ask that you have, or are on track for, a minimum of a 2:2 level degree. What is really important to us is your ability to demonstrate ambition to achieve; be creative and be able to use your judgement and analysis; be flexible and work with change; communicate well and influence people; be customer focused; and relate to and work well with others, not only in your immediate team but have the confidence to challenge and communicate with other stakeholders.
