About the programme

This award-winning, three-year rotational programme will give you exposure to the kind of exciting projects you just couldn’t find anywhere else. Plus, you’ll have the chance to study for your CIMA qualification – meaning that you’ll be able to join the world’s largest and leading professional body of management accountants.

Our Finance teams cover everything from financial and management accounting to being part of the wider commercial team driving value into the business. And they’re second to none. We’ve been voted Employer of the Year at the CIMA awards for the entire European media sector and Bluechip Finance Team of the Year at the prestigious Business Finance Awards.

Do you want to be an accountant in business or in the business of accounting? Here at Sky we offer you a very “hands-on” experience of being an accountant in business. You will complete your accounting training whilst helping the business make great decisions – like whether we should invest in a new TV show or a new piece of technology that could change the face of entertainment!

How the programme works

You'll be based either in our brand new, state-of-the-art offices in West London or in our professional Livingston hub, just outside Edinburgh. During your training contract we will support your personal and professional development whilst giving you three different placements in our UK finance team. To give you to a good breadth of experience, you will enhance your financial accounting skills in our Livingston offices, plus you could spend time in our European offices in Germany and Italy.

During your business rotations, you’ll learn how to prepare management reports, plan budgets, forecast, set out project costs and work with teams in other areas of the business to meet and exceed our business targets.

It’ll be a real challenge – stretching your analytical mind, commercial knowledge, and experience. But in this environment, we’ll make sure you get all the support you need to develop valuable practical experience and become a rising star in Sky’s Finance team. Also, with CIMA you will acquire an established global qualification, recognised by employers around the world.

The perks

As a valued graduate at Sky you’ll have access to our fantastic range of benefits, including generous holiday, a competitive salary and free Sky+HD premium package As well as structured in-house training and development, we’ll fully fund and support you throughout your CIMA qualification.

Your skills

A confident communicator who is both analytical and commercially focused, you’ll either have, or be on track to complete, a 2.1 in any discipline. You’ll work well as part of a team and be ready to work in a dynamic environment alongside talented people.
