What you’ll learn on the Finance Graduate Scheme
Our three-year scheme consists of placements across the division, where you’ll discover what it means to be a key partner in decision-making. Your placements could be across:
Core Finance
Develop a strong understanding of the purpose of our Finance function by getting involved in core areas such as monthly reporting and budgeting. You will have the opportunity to support the creation and analysis of financial results and forecasting future performance and opportunities.
Insight, Analysis and Data
Here you’ll develop your ability to provide fresh perspectives on key business topics, working independently and presenting information to stakeholders. This could include working within our multi-skilled teams, which bring together experts in both technology and finance to support our customer facing divisions develop and implement the Group’s strategy.
Business Partnering or Specialist Finance
Towards the end of your scheme, you’ll have the opportunity to work as a finance specialist and lead relationships with areas of the business as well as within the Finance community. You will use customised financial analysis and an awareness of broader external trends to inform business decisions across our different customer facing divisions.
The skills you’ll grow across these placements will give you a strong foundation to build a career as a future Finance leader. By the end of the scheme, you’ll have greater awareness of your abilities and interests, and a genuine understanding of how roles in Finance makes an impact across our Group. You’ll also have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role within Finance or other areas of the organisation.

This year we’re recruiting our largest intake in Bristol, in our recently opened flagship office – check out #HelloHarbourside on LinkedIn.
Our other hubs of Edinburgh and London will also run schemes. When deciding what location to apply to consider that you will remain there for the duration of your scheme.
In Edinburgh, the professional qualification you will study towards is ICAS.
