Enterprise Risk Graduate Programme

Put your versatile, analytical skills to work in our collaborative hub and give our clients the protection they need. And embark on a career journey you can own, shape and grow.

About the programme

Our Enterprise Risk team sits within Consulting but works closely with Assurance to instil confidence for businesses all over the world. Join us and put your detail-oriented skills to work on key strategy and finance projects for top-tier clients. You’ll be unafraid to ask the tough questions, collaborating across business areas to find the right answers to challenging client problems. And you’ll learn to communicate our solutions in a persuasive yet insightful way.

What will you be doing?

  • Getting to know our client's businesses, their strengths and opportunities for improvements.
  • Taking ownership for testing and reviewing the effectiveness of key financial and operational controls and reviewing business processes.
  • Helping to communicate the impact of your results and recommendations for improvement directly with clients.
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of quality deliverables, and maintaining regular contact with seniors, managers and team members.

How is it structured?

Balance work and study as you complete your Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA) qualification from ICAEW (England) or ICAS (Scotland).

From day one, you’ll play an integral role within Enterprise Risk engagements, working directly with clients often at their offices, getting to know how they work. You may be part of a co-sourced internal audit team of a major global organisation, working on a number of internal audits across various geographies or working on controls projects across various sectors – helping clients to gain confidence over their control environment.

Working on a variety of UK and multi-territory audit engagements, you'll begin to lead and coach others by your second year, while developing your client relationship skills – as well as building up your exceptional project management and teaming skills. You will also have exposure to working with EY personnel and clients around the world.

We’re looking ahead and we believe the work and training you do in your first few years lays the groundwork for a fast-moving, high-potential career with us. Our culture of coaching makes being Senior Consultant by year three very achievable.

Alongside our programme offering, we give you all the training and exposure to real-world work you could want. We also offer company-wide and programme-specific rewards that make all the hard work worthwhile. These include wellbeing initiatives, a free tech MBA, healthcare support, a pension scheme and more.

The Innovation Hub leads clients through technology transformations and creates bespoke solutions to tackle some of their biggest technology challenges. This is where your adventure begins and where you have every opportunity to build an exceptional experience. Embrace the challenge as you help us build a better working world for everyone.
