Events Assistant – 12 month fixed term contract

STIHL GB has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic person who is looking for the next step in their Marketing events career.

The Events Assistant will work collaboratively with the Marketing team, specifically providing support to the Marketing Communications Manager and Events Executive. The STIHL GB Marketing team is a fast paced environment with a very varied remit. The Events Assistant will support the planning and delivery of a wide range of projects and events including consumer and trade shows and, STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® activities.

This role would particularly suit a Marketing graduate or similar with some events experience.

• Must be energetic, possess a can-do attitude and a willingness to embrace new challenges
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines
• Highly organised for working on concurrent projects at a fast pace
• Articulate written, verbal and numerical communication skills
• Keen attention to detail to support accurate events and sponsorship administration
• Willing to support with the full range of event activities; planning, packing/transporting, set-up and attending
• Available to travel including nights and weekends away
• Hold a full UK driving licence and be confident in driving for work
