Details
Description
As a graduate at Petrofac, you’ll work with world-class experts on some of the most significant energy projects in the world. You’ll join us in our mission to design, build, manage and maintain infrastructure for diverse clients including some of the world’s leading energy companies. At every step of the way, you can look forward to friendly advice and guidance from your mentors and colleagues. Together we’ll enable clients to meet the world’s evolving energy needs.
What we offer you
You’ll receive supported training in the environmental aspects of an energy services company, with projects ranging from operating and decommissioning offshore oil and gas facilities, to construction of wind farms. Training is delivered in a variety of ways: within Petrofac, externally and on-the-job. You’ll also have the advantage of personal development programmes to build up your interpersonal and leadership skills.
Crucially, you’ll make a real contribution from day one through hands-on work experience projects that broaden your professional experience and knowledge of Petrofac. Opportunities will span renewable energies, Net Zero programmes and emissions management. We’ll match you with an expert as a mentor to provide day-to-day support.
Your role
Working closely with operations and project teams, you’ll provide vital environmental support and help make sure environmental management systems are implemented correctly. You’ll get involved in developing and implementing procedures and systems to protect the environment in a range of onshore and offshore locations.
You’ll also work with clients and regulators on Net Zero and energy reduction projects. Along the way, you’ll get to grips with the data management that’s essential to compliance with environmental regulations. And you’ll support new developments in data science.
What you’ll bring
We’ll expect you to have or expect a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline. And of course, you’ll be keen to keep learning.
You should also demonstrate:
- Great communication skills, in person and in writing
- A high level of numeracy and IT skills
- A real eye for detail
- A collaborative approach to work
- The ability to meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel offshore and internationally
