Programme Duration – 2 years
Location – West Midlands, with provision for working from home and occasional travel. All employees are required to spend time in different departments at a number of company locations in order to meet the needs of the business.
Salary – Circa £29,000, with a £2,000 joining bonus

Digital
Analytics is set to be a key source of competitive advantage for Jaguar Land Rover within the industry and we are at the heart of this, creating value, driving profitable growth and making Jaguar Land Rover more efficient and agile by delivering rapid actionable insight, enabling a controlled self-service analytics revolution and building transformational analytics solutions supported by best-in-class analytics technology, processes and people.

This programme will establish you on a strong career path within Digital and offer up a choice of different future career tracks within Jaguar Land Rover.

Graduates joining our Digital Programme could work in the following functions:

InDigital:
The InDigital team lead the way on everything from global projects and organisational design to delivery costs and quality targets, delivering digital initiatives at pace. We focus on three fundamentals:

  • Leading – create value through innovative analytics solutions.
    • Analytics – deep technical knowledge with combination of the applied best analytics practice.
    • Professionals – developing commercial awareness and knowledge about Jaguar Land Rover culture, vision and key strategic initiatives.

If InDigital is the engine, you’ll be a core component, building a strong foundation in analytics from day one. In your first year alone, you’ll be given the training, industry-leading tools and hands on, live project experience that brings in problem structuring, data wrangling, modelling and visualisation, data science and analytics strategy. In year two, you’ll have the clarity to focus on developing a specialism (Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Office), and the confidence to mentor new graduates.

That’s fast! And the pace will only accelerate. You could find yourself solving complex problems, presenting your ideas at board level, or even representing us at industry conferences. You’ll thrive on the early responsibility, real influence and extensive personal and professional development. Property:
New ways of working and dynamic development in our core business make this an incredible time to join us, supporting and enabling all non-manufacturing real estate around the world and across property life cycles, from strategy to delivery to ongoing maintenance. Right now, we’re driving ambitious transformation that streamlines efficiency, delivers cost management benefits and feeds into our sustainability agenda.

Property touches every employee and is business critical, so there’s incredible scope for purposeful individuals with a creative approach to deepening our knowledge and driving digital efficiency. Our analytics graduates play a pivotal role in reviewing and benchmarking global property operating costs, helping to ensure we develop and maintain an efficient estate. And you’ll also directly drive movement, taking the Property Department into a highly data driven and analytical era.

Human Resources (HR):
The People Analytics team is an integral part of the HR function, working with business and HR senior leaders to drive the People agenda. We are an expert functional analytics “hub”, working closely with the Analytics Centre of Excellence to advance our capability, processes and products.

From the beginning you’ll get involved in people analytics projects – prioritising projects which are strategically important or complex and require skills only available within the team. You’ll play a key role in developing the analytics capability within the HR function and developing a culture of data-based decision making by moving from instinct based people decisions to use of analytical dashboards and predictive modelling by business and HR leaders.

Commercial:
Our Customer Service team’s purpose is to delight our customers, ensuring that globally they receive the highest quality service experience every time. Whether that be through helping technicians to fix fast, first time through best-in-class diagnosis and repair, a strong focus on quality, or ensuring the efficient and effective management of parts and inventory through our supply chain. This will be underpinned by a digital transformation that is grounded in a strong culture of data-led decision-making, that you will help support and develop through your two-year graduate programme.

What’s required
Excellence runs throughout our entire business, and we expect you to be the same. You will have or expect to achieve a 2:2 degree or higher. We are particularly keen to receive applications from students with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) background but more important than that is a passion for analytics and problem solving, the curiosity to understand a business problem and explore innovative solutions, the confidence to champion new initiatives, strong numerical skills and be an excellent communicator.
