Delegate Sales Executive



The Job:

The role involves securing VIP delegates to a series of financial service focussed seminars and summits, plus subscription requests for opinion Reports in the UK, USA, and Germany, working 2 to 3 days a week from the company office in London. The Executive would be responsible for calling senior professionals in the financial services sector to discuss with them the potential to attend one of the 9 industry summits or signing up to a subscription for further content.


  • Calling of both warm and cold leads (30/70 split) to introduce the company, uncover needs and interests and secure attendance to events
  • Handle the 'delegate nurture' campaign, to retain delegates from booking to attendance on the day
  • Secure subscribers to the company's series of opinion reports, to later convert to event delegates
  • Liaise with existing report and event Sponsors, where necessary, to drive guest registrations
  • Maintain notes on the company CRM system with necessary information on client interactions
  • Assist in the organisation of client seminars

Skills & Experience:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months experience in a conference, subscription, or guest invitation sales role or / and have been involved alongside formal education in the organising of events
  • Be accustomed to speaking with and 'selling' new ideas and concepts to senior decision makers
  • Be comfortable using a range company technology systems
  • Be highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Have a proven track record of meeting targets
  • Be creative in their thinking and flexible to working on a variety of projects focussed on very different subjects
