Data Analytics Cross Functional Programme

Analytics is set to be a key source of competitive advantage for Jaguar Land Rover. We’re here to create value, drive profitable growth and make the business more efficient and agile by delivering quickly actionable insights, driving a self-service analytics revolution and building transformational solutions supported by best-in-class analytics technology, processes and people.

Joining our industry leading cross-functional programme, you will rotate across digital, commercial and HR as you work on high profile projects, learn from experts and senior managers, and enjoy dedicated development days.

Digital

At the heart of this highly entrepreneurial team, you will contribute to pioneering projects, solve complex commercial problems and influence every aspect of our business. Whether you’re addressing global programmes and organisational design or delivery costs and quality targets, your digital solutions will create real insight, enabling more effective decision-making.

In your first year, you will build your skills in problem structuring, data wrangling, modelling and visualisation, data science and analytical strategy before developing a key specialism (data science, data engineering, data analytics or data office) in year two. By the end of the programme, you will be familiar with making presentations at board level and may even have represented us at industry conferences.

Human Resources: People Analytics

As an expert functional analysis, data engineering and data science resource, we bring the people strategy to life by delivering data that signposts the way forward. You will play a central role in developing a data-based decision-making culture as we move away from instinct-based people decisions to those founded on predictive models.

Human Resources: Corporate Security and Business Protection (CSBP)

CSBP’s goal is to protect the future of Jaguar Land Rover – ensuring the business can mitigate, respond to and recover from any emergencies, which could range from medical and security events to pandemics and energy shortages.

At the heart of our business office, you will create the platform for safe, sustainable working and drive profound business transformation. To make this happen, you will manage data, forecast operational trends and deliver business updates, whilst interfacing constantly with operational managers overseeing UK and global facilities.

Commercial

As the competitive landscape continues to evolve with increasing digital touchpoints, more connected vehicles and various ownership models, Jaguar Land Rover is making continued strides in the transformation of its world-class brands – and data is at the core of this. Whichever area you focus on, you’ll help your commercial colleagues drive growth and simplicity by understanding our business and our customers to put them at the heart of every decision we make.

Global Customer Service: We are using industry-leading digital systems, data and analytics solutions to delight our customers at every step of their personal journey. Harnessing the power of data analytics, we positively impact our customers by creating fault-free experiences and enabling service that gets it right first time, every time. In short, we put data at the centre of our decision-making so we can leverage every opportunity to grow our revenue and maximise efficiencies across our business.

Demand Planning & Reporting: At the heart of our global sales and operations processes, this team’s focus is to develop and maintain management reporting and insights throughout the global commercial function.

UK National Sales Company: Connecting data across the business, you will support decision-making by colleagues at every level. Your deep data analysis and effective visual representations of your conclusions will make managers’ lives easier as they fully understand our KPIs and key challenges to find the way forward.

Customer Analytics: Connecting data from all customer touchpoints, both physical and digital, we create ingenious moments for customers through the use of advanced technology and machine learning.

What’s required?

You will need to hold or be on track to achieve at least a 2.2 degree in any discipline. We are particularly keen to hear from students with a science, technology, engineering or maths (STEM) background.

You will have a real passion for problem solving and the curiosity to understand business challenges and deliver innovative solutions. You will also have strong numerical and interpersonal skills and the confidence to champion new initiatives.

Rewards and benefits

We haven’t yet confirmed our 2023 graduate programme salary, but in 2022 this was £29,000. You’ll also receive a £2,000 joining bonus to welcome you to Jaguar Land Rover, plus a generous holiday allowance, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, an excellent pension scheme and access to a wide range of deals and discounts from retailers and sports clubs.
