The main purpose of the role
To plan and create all Upbeat brand assets and execute the digital strategy with full ownership of the social media platforms to maximise brand engagement and awareness.
Upbeat is a growing entrepreneurial business based in WeWork, Spitalfields; a collaborative workplace that attracts start-ups and creative thinkers from a range of industries. The decision to set-up camp here was based on the synergy between the WeWork culture and our own Upbeat values (which we live and breathe)
Content creation for both print and digital media
Social media planning, management and execution
Supporting the Brand Manager with wider digital strategy and reporting
This is a hands-on content and digital marketing role, focused on producing brand content and delivering follower growth and engagement through digital brand recognition.
In line with the brand guidelines, utilise Adobe Creative software to create engaging brand content for a range of print and digital applications
Lead and execute the social media plan to help deliver the marketing strategy
Daily reactive and proactive community management on digital channels. This will also include
managing any customer enquiries and subsequent customer send-outs.
Manage influencers and influencer campaigns from onboarding through to bespoke mail outs
Supporting the Brand Manager on knowledge of digital trends, strategy and competitor activity
Develop, share and interpret consumer and customer insight from digital channels
Support the planning and execution of principle Upbeat campaigns whilst also supporting ad hoc
projects as and when needed
Maximise digital reach through strategic advertising across social and digital channels
Budget management of social media budget
Contribution to brand development
Brand guardian for Upbeat across visual content, experiential execution and tone of voice
Monthly reporting and commentary on Upbeat digital performance, sharing insights and
learning's with wider team
Data and asset file management
Rotational business project
Additionally, this role will work collaboratively with the wider Upbeat team internally and with agencies and suppliers externally. The ability to influence and drive best value out of external relationships will be an important part of the role.
Qualifications and Skills
Strong academic credentials
At least 1 year's relevant experience working for an FMCG or consumer brand
Experience in social and digital media i.e. run their own blog, website or social media platform
A creative with technical ability and an eye for detail. Must be able to work to a brief and deliver
Intermediate to advanced in in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Comfortable and confident communicator
Team player who wants to contribute to the overall team and wider Upbeat success
Entrepreneurial spirit with a hunger for self-progression and learning
Photography and videography
Experience with Google Analytics and Google Ad Platform
Understanding of HTML and CSS for website development
Some experience with editing tools e.g. Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro
