Salary: £18 to 21,000, plus Profit Share DOE* depending on experience plus benefits pro rata plus share scheme salary review

The Company


Arena International, part of Global Data, runs over 80 international conferences and forums every year, with a thriving programme that is always expanding. Our portfolio spans numerous industry sectors and geographical regions, meaning the successful candidate will be open to travel internationally.

 

As a Conference Producer you will report to the Head of Conferences and be responsible for producing and managing some of these events from start to finish. This process is made up of various stages and requires a broad skill set to push products to achieve high profitability. Someone with a product-centric focus who is market and brand aware will do well in this role.

 

The Position


Typically you will spend 5 weeks producing a conference, and then up to 22 weeks managing its campaign. The typical cycle of responsibilities includes:


  1. Desk and phone based research with your target industry
  2. Copy writing to develop your event agenda and marketing/sales content
  3. Speaker acquisition through effective phone-based engagement
  4. Supporting and working alongside sales and marketing teams
  5. Project Management; each conference is a business in its own right, so you need to keep a handle on costs and push ideas for revenue generation
  6. Travel to events and programme management on the day, greeting speakers, running the programme, networking and product development 


Requirement


We are looking for a degree-educated candidate who demonstrates a keen interest in business and a natural ability to work on projects with either strategic or technical focus. The candidate should have a keen interest in research and the confidence to engage different markets over the phone.
