They have a platform that supports their own 24x7 global editorial team and serves in excess of 14 million of users per day online, as well as mobile apps that combined have over 1 million daily users globally.


This is a grad job offering up to £25K per annum.


How you can expect to spend your day:


The Communications Assistant is a unique experience and exciting opportunity to work for an international portfolio of media and information businesses. This position will provide communications support for all corporate communications, Investor Relations and Governance activity.


Communications Support:
Writing content and news articles for the business and the internal company intranet
Maintaining and updating the website
Managing the daily news email and working with the businesses to identify and feed through Group news stories
Support social media activity i.e. Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
Assist with the monitoring of coverage either print, broadcast or online about the company and about significant activity in their operating businesses particularly across social media
Managing incoming news content
Supporting the updating of the intranet
Collaborating with the in-house Talent centre and helping to coordinate careers communication activity


Investor Relations Support:
Coordinating communications and event support for Investor Day
Providing marketing and communications support for Investor Relations activity i.e. financial results
Maintaining the Investor section of the business


Corporate Relations:


Supporting corporate relations communications through all existing channels


Creating news articles based on corporate relations stories from around the company network


Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)


Supporting the GRC network and its communications activities


Coordinating communications and event support for the annual offsite


Coordinating regular webinars


The ideal intern's personality and qualifications:


Seeking someone with enthusiasm, fresh thinking and dedication that is looking to grow their career and make a strong impact to the team


Degree in Communications, Marketing, Publications or related


1-2 years' work experience in a professional environment either through internships or following school


Experience with utilising social media, and an interest in its power to portray and create a vibrant corporate brand


Strong organisational skills


An ability to work with and around systems


Excellent written skills with a focus in copywriting


A proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment


Impeccable business judgment with an instinctive sense of prioritisation


Exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle discussions with tact and diplomacy
