It’s the most wonderful time of the year (almost) and we need your help in making sure it’s the best Christmas our customers have ever had with Majestic. To do that, we need you and your fantastic people skills to ensure each of our customers aren’t stuck with a lump of coal come the big day. We’ll train you to be a customer champion, all the while enjoying all the fun of being a part of a wonderful, winning team.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the most valuable part of our Customer Happiness Team: A Customer Happiness Advisor. You are the friendly voice of Majestic, who will be able to help our customers with whatever query they may have. Checking the status of an order; easy! Adding on a delicious bottle of bubbles to their Father-in-Law’s Christmas present; not a problem!
Your most important job will be delivering 5-star service to all our customers, making sure that they put the phone down with a big smile on their face and singing your praises to all their friends and family. We’re known for always going above and beyond when it comes to customer service and that’s the same whether it’s in one of our stores or on the telephone.
You might be thinking at this point that it’s all well and good, but I don’t know anything about wine. Fear not, the only thing you really need is to love giving 5-star customer service as we have an on-hand wine expert at your beck and call for any questions you may have. Besides, with lots of opportunities to taste wine here at our Support Centre, you’ll be an expert in no time! Sound like fun? It is!
The impact you’ll have will go a long way to guaranteeing that when it comes to wine, there’s no better option than Majestic.
What we look for
Our Customer Happiness Advisors come from all walks of life, from graduates fresh out of uni to seasoned customer service pros looking to put their honed skills to the best use. But they all have a few things in common…
“People” people: You’re a friendly voice who’s happy to roll up your sleeves and muck in with your team mates. You get along with everyone and like having a bit of fun, but also taking a selfless approach to make sure the team win together.
Customer champions: You have a sixth sense for delivering exactly what the customer wants. And you’re willing to go the extra mile to make sure every customer has a warm fuzzy feeling when they think about Majestic.
Great communicators: Articulate, passionate, and able to put customers at ease. People just love speaking to you and they know you really care. You have an exquisite telephone manner and are confident.
Doers: You make things happen. When a problem needs fixing, you fix it. When something needs doing, you take ownership.
Grafters: Customer service can be tough, with plenty to juggle and each case unique. So you’ll need bags of energy and determination. But when the going gets tough, you’re in your element.
Flexible people: This position is shift based and does include weekend work, with Saturday being the key day, so you have to be happy to work around these times.
Workaholics: This is no 9-5 job. There are busy periods and weekends, in the run up to our most important time of the year. It can be a challenging environment. But for people with drive and commitment, a highly rewarding one.
What you’ll get
We’re a living wage employer, which means we’re committed to paying our staff a fair wage. The shifts will typically be 37.5 hours per week and we pay £9 an hour.
This is a 2 month contract; however lots of our past Christmas people were so good we couldn’t bear to let them go!
If you’re with us every day, bringing fantastic positivity and a warm smile to the team we’ll even give you a Christmas bonus of £500, very handy for the January sales!
If you don't take any of your accrued holiday days, we are going to be very busy after all, then we will also pay you these days in your final pay (worth over £250!).
Lunch is on us; we have a staff kitchen with everything you need to have a delicious lunch and free wine every Friday to boot.
A 20% staff discount on everything in store, which you can share with two of your family or friends (perfect for stocking up for Christmas).
