At the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, a group of passionate and determined people work to design, develop, manufacture and race the cars driven by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and Grand Prix winner George Russell.

About the Role:

As a Car Build Industrial Placement, you will have a strong academic background in a mechanical engineering discipline and be conversant with CAD. Some manufacturing knowledge would be advantageous. Your commitment and diligence together with a can-do attitude, will enable you to deliver the maximum from this opportunity and to create a positive profile for yourself within the team. Alongside non-academic achievements you will be a confident communicator, comfortable with Excel, Word and PowerPoint with the motivation and resilience to handle this highly challenging, fast paced environment.

Flexibility in hours and approach is required, along with a ‘can do’, ‘team-playing’ attitude and the ability to work to strict deadlines under minimal supervision.

Recruitment timings and process:

Typically, our Industrial Placements are for a thirteen-month period starting in July 2024.

By the time the placement begins, you must have at least one academic year of study remaining after your placement.

All assessments in the recruitment process are in English: this is the primary language used within the organisation and you need a good level of written and spoken English in the Industrial Placement role.

This position is office-based, at our campus in Brackley, United Kingdom.
