Description of the job
Within Secure Communications we provide the most secure military satellite bandwidth in the world. We have a portfolio of mobile and fixed satellite communication solutions for use at sea, on land and in the air and we develop highly performing products in support of our services and systems.
We also have the capability to integrate complex systems, for our own infrastructure and for our customers and we provide managed satellite services including customer support, end-to-end service provision, system operations and maintenance, teleport and backhaul as well as training and consultancy.
Our offerings are unique, meeting customer requirements in a way that no-one else can, be that technically or commercially.
This is why we want to attract and develop the best talent. We also believe that the greater the diversity in a company, the greater chance you have of being successful. Therefore, when we're looking for future leaders, we hire from a range of backgrounds where different ideas and views mean better solutions and more informed decisions.
Our UK Graduate Programme provides exceptional graduates the opportunity to master managerial and technical skills. Over the two year period it combines rotational placements with focused training and the possibility of European assignments as well as further personal development and the chance to build your professional network.
From day one, you will be assigned to a particular department and will be guided through the various placement opportunities that exist within your function, the wider business and even with customers and suppliers. This, along with training provided works to ensure you are ready and experienced enough to take the next step of your career following the programme's conclusion.
At the end of the programme where you end up is up to you, but in a company as diverse as ours, you'll always have interesting opportunities. What's more, every placement you take part in will be different from the others, and there'll never be any doubt that the work you're doing is adding significant value to the company.
The programme will include a series of six-month rotations in various disciplines which will allow you to explore some of our UK offices.
Your career aspirations will drive the rotations you decide to follow, but wherever you go with us you'll find support, development opportunities, regular reviews and frequent training sessions. And unlike other graduate programmes, you'll be given rotations across all business areas, so you can understand Airbus Defence and Space and decide where your strengths lie. Within Secure Communications some of the tasks you can expect to be involved with are;

¤ Assisting with the optimisation of the organization's processes and tools to deliver on its commitments.
